THE LAW OF SUCCESS Lesson One – THE MASTER MIND

In this lesson, Hill presents the Golden Rule (“do unto others as you would have them do unto you”) not as a simple moral precept, but as a universal law of cause and effect: every thought, word, and action we express returns to us amplified, in the form of situations, people, and events. For this reason, those who use the power acquired in the other lessons in a selfish or unfair way always end up destroying themselves.
The Golden Rule is linked to autosuggestion and the subconscious: everything we think and do towards others is imprinted on our character, which becomes a “magnet” capable of attracting circumstances of the same type. Being honest, loyal, cooperative, and kind is therefore beneficial not only “morally” but also practically, because it builds a strong character, a good reputation, and relationships that lead to lasting success.
Hill shows how the same law operates:

• in personal relationships (hatred and revenge come back to us)
• in business (those who pursue profit at the expense of others fail in the long run)
• in conflicts between capital and labor (the real solution is cooperation based on the Golden Rule).

The lesson concludes that there is no true success without applying the Golden Rule: those who want stable power and wealth must consciously choose thoughts and actions that also benefit others, because “whatever we do to others, we actually do to ourselves.”
